We are looking for an experienced Social Media Volunteer who can use their skills and creativity to help share the work God is doing through our missions.
This volunteer will work directly with our Mission Team Leaders to develop and execute social media campaigns that build awareness, encourage prayer and participation, support fundraising efforts, and share the impact of each mission.
The position can be performed remotely, and you do not need to travel on our missions—although opportunities to participate in a mission may be available.
Develop a social media campaign leading up to each mission. This may include creating a posting schedule, developing graphics and messaging, promoting fundraising or volunteer needs, and building awareness across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and, when appropriate, X.
Help our Mission Team Leaders understand what content they should capture while serving in the field. You may recommend photos, short videos, interviews, testimonials and storytelling opportunities and help develop simple questions, scripts or talking points.
For example, rather than simply posting a photograph of meals being distributed, you might encourage the mission leader to capture a short conversation that tells the story of who was helped, what they were facing, what happened, and why it mattered.
The Mission Team Leader will capture photos, videos and stories and upload the media to our shared OneDrive. Depending on the mission and connectivity, some content may be used for updates while the team is still serving.
Turn the photos, videos and stories collected during the mission into meaningful social media content that shows donors, volunteers, prayer partners and others what their support helped accomplish—and helps us continue telling those stories long after the team returns home.
We are looking for someone with hands-on experience managing social media and creating campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube, with experience using X also helpful.
The ideal volunteer understands social media strategy, content planning, storytelling, audience engagement, short-form video, basic graphic development, campaign scheduling and how content should be adapted for different platforms. Experience with nonprofit, ministry, fundraising or cause-based campaigns is especially valuable.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who can do more than simply post content. We need someone who can help us think strategically about what stories should be told, how they should be captured, and how social media can help advance each mission.
Tell us a bit about yourself, and a member of our team will reach out to help you find the right volunteer opportunity.
Thank you — your request has been received. A member of our team will be in touch soon.
