Hello, my name is Balokah Felix. I live in Cotonou, Benin, but my heart and my footsteps are often found in the northern regions of the Benin Republic. I have been married to my wonderful wife, Veronique, for 25 years, and together we lead the ministry “SALUT EN CHRIST” (Salvation in Christ). The Lord has blessed us with four children, including twin daughters. Three of them are currently at university, my eldest is studying Midwifery, one twin is studying Mathematics, and her sister is studying Fine Art and Curatorial Practices. Our youngest son is studying General Arts. All of this is by the grace of God and His help through the ministry family. We bless the Lord for His provision for our family as we serve Him.

Hola, mi nombre es Balokah Felix. Vivo en Cotonú, Benín, pero mi corazón y mis pasos a menudo se encuentran en las regiones del norte de la República de Benín. He estado casado con mi maravillosa esposa, Veronique, durante 25 años, y juntos dirigimos el ministerio “SALUT EN CHRIST” (Salvación en Cristo). El Señor nos ha bendecido con cuatro hijos, incluyendo hijas gemelas. Tres de ellos están actualmente en la universidad: mi hija mayor estudia Obstetricia, una de las gemelas estudia Matemáticas, y su hermana estudia Bellas Artes y Prácticas de Curaduría. Nuestro hijo menor estudia Artes Generales. Todo esto es por la gracia de Dios y Su ayuda a través de la familia del ministerio. Bendecimos al Señor por Su provisión para nuestra familia mientras le servimos.

I was born into the Catholic Church, but as I grew, I sought to know the truth for myself. I spent years in the Seventh-day Adventist Church, rooted in its law and convinced that observing the Sabbath was the true doctrine of God. I was stubborn and defensive about my beliefs until the day two men came to evangelize in my neighborhood.

Nací en la Iglesia Católica, pero a medida que crecí, busqué conocer la verdad por mí mismo. Pasé años en la Iglesia Adventista del Séptimo Día, arraigado en su ley y convencido de que observar el sábado era la verdadera doctrina de Dios. Fui terco y defensivo respecto a mis creencias hasta el día en que dos hombres vinieron a evangelizar en mi vecindario.

We debated the Word together. I talked about the Sabbath, but they showed me how Jesus Himself did not observe the Sabbath in the way I was taught. What finally broke through my defenses were the truths found in John 9 and 2nd Corinthians 3. I realized that it is not Sabbath observance that saves, but the grace of Christ. I was delivered from the law and joined a Pentecostal church, eventually joining an evangelism group to preach the Gospel everywhere.

Debatimos juntos la Palabra. Yo hablaba del sábado, pero ellos me mostraron cómo Jesús mismo no observaba el sábado de la manera en que a mí me habían enseñado. Lo que finalmente derribó mis defensas fueron las verdades encontradas en Juan 9 y 2 Corintios 3. Me di cuenta de que no es la observancia del sábado lo que salva, sino la gracia de Cristo. Fui liberado de la ley y me uní a una iglesia pentecostal, y con el tiempo me uní a un grupo de evangelismo para predicar el Evangelio en todas partes.

The Lord confirmed my calling through a recurring dream. Three times over a two-week period, I saw the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. I saw the confusion of people who had not given their lives to Him, and I knew I had to submit. At 28 years old, I attended Bible school and graduated as a pastor. Today, the Holy Spirit constantly reminds me that my entire life belongs to Christ. I strive every day to be a vessel for Him, knowing that He is coming back soon.

El Señor confirmó mi llamado a través de un sueño recurrente. Tres veces durante un período de dos semanas, vi la segunda venida de nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Vi la confusión de las personas que no habían entregado sus vidas a Él, y supe que debía someterme. A los 28 años, asistí a la escuela bíblica y me gradué como pastor. Hoy, el Espíritu Santo me recuerda constantemente que toda mi vida pertenece a Cristo. Me esfuerzo cada día por ser un vaso para Él, sabiendo que Él viene pronto.

The primary goal of my ministry is to plant churches in unreached places, specifically in Northern Benin and neighboring West African countries where the Muslim community is growing. We are committed to making the Great Commission known every day, leading all Christians to obey so that Christ may be seen in their lives.

El objetivo principal de mi ministerio es plantar iglesias en lugares no alcanzados, específicamente en el norte de Benín y los países vecinos de África Occidental donde la comunidad musulmana está creciendo. Estamos comprometidos a dar a conocer la Gran Comisión cada día, guiando a todos los cristianos a obedecer para que Cristo pueda ser visto en sus vidas.

In our mission fields, we have noticed a deep brokenness: women are often mistreated, children are abandoned, and families are fractured. Yet, these women want to experience the joy of marriage and the freedom found in Christ. My desire is to create an NGO that performs charitable works in these remote areas. By serving the tangible needs of the children and mothers, we can win their hearts, and the hearts of the fathers, to form Christian communities that are transformed by the power of the Gospel.

En nuestros campos de misión, hemos notado un profundo quebranto: las mujeres a menudo son maltratadas, los niños son abandonados y las familias están fracturadas. Sin embargo, estas mujeres desean experimentar el gozo del matrimonio y la libertad que se encuentra en Cristo. Mi deseo es crear una ONG que realice obras caritativas en estas áreas remotas. Al servir las necesidades tangibles de los niños y las madres, podemos ganar sus corazones, y los corazones de los padres, para formar comunidades cristianas transformadas por el poder del Evangelio.
